Gary Romig

Gary L. Romig Sr., 89, of Birdsboro, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in his home. He was the husband of the late Virginia Ruth (Raezer) Romig, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel Percival Romig Sr. and Edna May (Myers) Romig. Gary proudly served his country in The United States Navy from 1955-1957. He was a brick layer for 37 years for Renninger and Reider Construction, lastly employed by Exeter Township.

Gary is survived by his children; Randall L. Romig, husband of Barbara, of Douglassville, Gary L. Romig Jr., husband of Robin, of Collegeville, Mark D. Romig, husband of Alan Gerber, of Florida, and Lisa B. Bingaman, wife of Troy, of Birdsboro. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and his daughter-in-law Ivy Romig. Gary was preceded in death by his son, Chris A. Romig, his grandson, Benjamin Romig, and his siblings; Samuel "Perce" Romig Jr., Leona LaRue Kulp, Ruth E. Miller, and Janet Mae Marino.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2024 beginning at 12:00 PM at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be held privately.
