Dorothy Goodman

Dorothy M. Goodman, 84, formerly of Reading, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 in the Berks County Home/Berks Heim . She was the loving wife of Richard P. Goodman. Born in Hazleton, she was a daughter of the late Samuel M. and Mary A. (Grieco) DeJoseph. Dorothy was a graduate of Reading High School in 1951 and was a member of Holy Rosary R.C.C. She was a volunteer as well as an interpretor for many years at the Berks Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services. Dorothy was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Hunter Liggett VFW Post #38. She worked as a quality control inspector at Dimensions in Reading for 18 years, retiring in 1995. In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Bonnie M. wife of Keith A. Stubblebine and Susan M. Moyer wife of Andrew Karaffa both of West Wyomissing; five grandchildren, Erika wife of Derek Kimmel, Kaitlin Stubblebine, Chris Moyer, Austin Stubblebine and Andrew Karaffa. She was pre deceased by one brother, Michael C. DeJoseph. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606.
