Richard P. Goodman, 91, of Spring Township, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. (DeJoseph) Goodman. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late William I. and Agnes (Klemmer) Goodman. Richard was an active member of the VFW Post #38 Hunter Liggett in Reading and proudly served in the US. Navy during WWII. He worked as an Assistant Foreman in the Forging Department at Baldwin Hardware for 28 years, retiring in 1989. Richard is survived by his two daughters Bonnie M. Stubblebine, wife of Keith and Susan M. Moyer, wife of Andrew, both of West Wyomissing; five grandchildren; Erika, Kaitlin, Chris, Austin and Andy, and one great grandchild, Karson. Also, two brothers Norman W. Goodman, Reading; and Earl Goodman both deceased, two sisters Doris M. Reiter, Phoenixville and Jean Allen, Muhlenberg Township. He spent many days with his furry companion, Bentley. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 2201 Ridgewood Rd #180, Wyomissing, PA 19610 .
