Susan Haggerty

Susan M. Haggerty, 63, of Mount Penn, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Darlene E. (Funk) Haggerty. Susan was a graduate of Mount Penn High School in 1972. She was a volunteer for the Mount Penn Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and ran ambulance with the Lower Alsace Ambulance Association as well as Houck Ambulance Service. Susan was a custodian for the Antietam School District for many years. She is survived by one brother, Richard J. Haggerty of Exeter and one sister, Anne M. widow of Glenn B. Becker of Mount Penn; two nephews, William J. Haggerty husband of Lorraine T. of Exeter and Patrick J. Haggerty partner of Jeffrey Keller of Muhlenberg Townshp; one great-nephew, Steven Haggerty and one great niece, Tiffany Evans. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon with services beginning at 12:00 noon in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mount Penn.
