Miriam R. "Mim" Haring, 93, of Reading, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018, in Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Stewart K. Haring whom she married on October 16, 1971. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank S. and Florence M. (DeTemple-Quinter) Drace. Miriam was a Past Royal Patron of Lucile Court No. 92, Order of the Amaranth. She began singing solos in church at the age of two, and from the 1930's to 1964, she was a choir member and alto soloist of Immanuel Evangelical Church, Reading. From 1965 to 1985 she was a choir member and alto soloist at Trinity United Methodist Church, Reading. Miriam worked from 1992 to 2002 as a Minority Inspector at the Thirteenth and Green Elementary School polling place. Miriam is survived by one son John S. Sharman and his wife Rosemarie of Sinking Spring; one stepdaughter, Elizabeth J. (Haring), wife of John E. Pieja of Hershey; and one stepson John W. Haring of Birdsboro. Also surviving are two grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three nieces, three nephews and numerous friends and neighbors. She is predeceased by one son Henry R. Sharman, Jr., and one sister Esther K. (Drace) Keller and one brother George S. Drace. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am with services beginning at 11:30 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Reading.
