Raymond D. Harter, Jr., 71, of Pottstown, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014 in his residence. He was the husband of Dolly A. (Mittower) Harter.
Born in Norristown, he was a son of the late Raymond D. Harter, Sr. and Mary M. (Herr) Bryan.
Raymond was a heavy equipment operator for a few different companies, lastly for Horrigan Brothers Co. He was a member of the Sons of Italy and his fishing club.
In addition to his wife, Raymond is survived by: Three Daughters: Nikki wife of Joseph Kane of South Heidelberg Twp., Wendy wife of Kelly Armentrout of Royersford and Connie Crosby of Royersford; Six Grandchildren; One Great-Grandchild and One Sister: Sandy Devlin of Reading; Two Step-Sons: Alvin Shade, Jr. husband of Wendy and Kristopher Shade both of Reading and Three Step-Grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a sister Catherine Eisenhardt. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Pottstown VNA for their support and compassion.
