William D. “Danny” Hartman, 69, of Limekiln, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 in the Reading Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was the husband of Ruth A. (Kramer) Hartman. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Harry and Pauline E. (Dietrich) Hartman. He was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and a veteran of Vietnam War. Danny was employed at the Met-Ed Titus Plant for 27 years until his retirement. He was known as the “fix-it-man” in the family as he was extremely handy with any type of home improvement project. Danny had a special way with animals and was elected the pet sitter for all family members. He also had many entrepreneurial ventures over the years and loved to learn new things. Danny loved talking about politics and current events. He also enjoyed fishing, cooking, coin collecting, stamp collecting and antique cars.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a step-daughter Karen A. wife of David L. Kase of Exeter Twp; Grandchildren Kelly and Seth Beaver of Elverson; Two Sisters: Barbara A. Schaeffer of Exeter and Sheila M. Bowman of Shoemakersville. He was pre-deceased by his brother Harry D. Services private.
