Leverne H. "Keeney" Helfrich

Leverne H. “Keeney” Helfrich, 92, of Jacksonwald, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014 in the Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Forrest W. and Hattie G. (Hedrick) Helfrich. Leverne was a graduate of Mount Penn High School in 1942 and was a United States Army Veteran of World War II serving in the 8th Air Force 457th Bomb Group. He was a grocer and part owner/operator of the Jacksonwald Store since 1955. Leverne is survived by: Two Nephews: Robert Donaghy, Jr. and Ronald C. husband of Linda Rodolff and One Great-Niece: Christi wife of Mark Bennett. He was pre-deceased by his brothers Wayne and Forrest D., Jr. and his sisters Thelma Donaghy and LaRue Rodolff. Services and Interment private at the convenience of the family.
