Florence Herb

Florence Herb, 86, of Oley Township, passed away peacefully at Heartland Hospice at the Reading Hospital in the early morning of May 9, 2017, after a short illness. She was the widow of Chester W. Herb USAF (RET) who passed away June 20, 2005. Born in New York City, NY, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Matis) Rickli. Florence is survived by her brother, Richard E Wright, Sr. of Waldwick, NJ; many nephews and nieces as well as multiple great-nieces and nephews. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.with services beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606. Interment immediately following services in Spies-Zion Cemetery- Alsace Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Florences' name to the Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 N. 11th Street, Reading, Pennsylvania 19604.
