Pauline Hinnershitz

Pauline N. (Gelsinger) Hinnershitz, 82, of Exeter Township passed away Tuesday December 1, 2015 at the Berkshire Center. Born in Heidelberg Township , she was the daughter of the late Earl and Katie (Ohlinger) Gelsinger. Pauline is survived by her husband Wayne S. Hinnershitz. They were married on December 11, 1954 and celebrated sixty one years of marriage. She was a member of Zion (Spies) Evangelical Reformed Church where she served as a President of the Women's Guild and was also a Sunday School Teacher. Pauline is survived by her sons, Steve C. Hinnershitz husband of Christine of Muhlenberg Township and Mark A Hinnershitz, husband of Ruthann of Exeter Township. She was pre deceased by her son Scott W. Hinnershitz in 2001. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Katrina, Aaron and Dylan Hinnershitz and Mark Blessing along with two great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters Elsie Oliver, Mary Dautrich and Rachel Burket and her brothers Lester Gelsinger and Paul Gelsinger. She was pre deceased by siblings Clarence Gelsinger, Edwin Gelsinger, and Beulah Lamm. Friends and family may call from 10:00am - 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00am on Saturday December 5th at Zion (Spies) Evangelical Reformed Church 318 Spies Church Road, Reading PA 19606. Rev. Merrill R. Marisseau will officiate. Interment will follow in Zion Spies Cemetery.
