William C. Hoffman

William C. Hoffman, 86, formerly of St. Lawrence, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 in ManorCare Sinking Spring. He was the husband of Marie M. (Becker) Hoffman. Born in Exeter Township, he was a son of the late Roy H. and Mary (Huyett) Hoffman. William was a member of Schwarzwald U.C.C. where he was a member of the Consistory. He was also the past president of the P.O.S. of A Washington Post #230 , the Berks County Chapter of the P.O.S of A where he also served as past president and was a past trustee of the Teamsters Union #429. William was employed by D.B. Diefenderfer, Inc. in St. Lawrence as a truck driver for 42 years, retiring June 1, 1990. In addition to his wife, William is survived by: Three Brothers: Richard of Douglassville, Ray of Fleetwood and David of Sinking Spring and Two Sisters: Dolores DeLong of Boyertown and Shirley Fritz of Kenhorst. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am on Wednesday January 14, 2015 in the Lutz Funeral Home Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave, Mt. Penn. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park Reiffton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Schwarzwald U.C.C. Memorial Fund at 75 Church Lane Road Reading, PA 19606.
