Arldine Hoshauer

Arldine L. Hoshauer, 88, of Reading, passed away Sunday January 7, 2018, in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the wife of Robert E. Hoshauer. Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late Clarence K. and Ada (McCrea) Romich. Arldine graduated from Mt. Penn High School in 1947 and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mt. Penn where she served as their Financial Secretary for nine years and also belonged to the choir. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Red Cross. Arldine worked at Glidden in the Traffic Department as a clerk and switchboard operator for 35 years until her retirement in 1990. In addition to her husband, Arldine is survived by her daughter Deborah A. Nissley of Lebanon; two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one sister Lorraine D. Kreider of Reading. She was predeceased by two brothers Lynwood M. and David S. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday January 12, 2018, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in the Lutz Funeral Home, 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading.
