Arthur J. Howard

Arthur J. Howard, 95, of Oley, passed away on March 22, 2015 in his home. He was pre-deceased by his wives, Hilda Adam and Beatrice Howard. Born in Oley on March 4, 1920, he was the son of the late Harry and Cora (Kercher) Howard. He was the owner/operator of AJ Howard Lumber mill for 45 years until retiring in 1987. He is survived by his companion of 33 years, Margaret Monnier, and his daughter, Patricia A. wife of Richard W. Swoyer of Shoemakersville; granddaughter Diane M. wife of Scott Ringler; grandson Darren R. husband of Sharon Swoyer; two great-grandsons, Kenneth Becker and Jason Wright; three great-granddaughters, Kayla, Trisha and Keira Swoyer; and two step great-grandsons, Timothy and Jeffrey Ringler; and a great-great-grandson, Logan Wright. He was pre-deceased by his siblings: Lloyd, Walter, Edna, Elmer, Paul, Harold, Miriam, Edwin, Mae, Jane and Reda. Services will be held Friday, March 27, at 10:00 A.M. in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mt. Penn. Viewing will be held on Thursday Evening, March 26 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Boyertown.
