Helen R. Huyett (Huyett)

Helen R. Huyett, (Retired, USAF Lt. Col.) 100, of Wyomissing, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021, in The Highlands at Wyomissing. Born in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Harry R. Sr. and Helen (Rittenhouse) Huyett of Green Tree Acres. She was a 1938 graduate of Reading High School, and attended the University of Maryland Military Campus in Wiesbaden, Germany and the Pentagon. Helen served in the Air Force for 24 years and retired in 1967 as a Lt. Col. as Deputy Director of Women in the Air Force in the Pentagon. She served at numerous stateside bases and at Air Force Headquarters in the Pentagon in various Personnel assignments. Helen also served two tours in Wiesbaden, Germany, Florence, and Naples, Italy.

Helen is survived her brother: David R. Huyett, of Lower Alsace. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her siblings Jeanette Huyett Stafford, Aletha Huyett Bosold, and Harry R. Huyett, Jr.
