Gary M. Jackson, 61, of Exeter Township, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in Penn Hospital-Philadelphia, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Susan M. (Reber) Jackson. Born in Johnstown, Pa, he was a son of the late Matthew "Stoney" and Elizabeth "Betty" (Good) Jackson. Gary was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and was a member of Schwarzwald Lutheran Church-Jacksonwald. He loved watching his children compete in sports. Gary was a very devoted coach and umpire for over ten years and the former secretary for Exeter Little League. He loved to golf, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the beach and spending time with his family and friends. He was an engineer for Worley-Parsons, formerly Gilbert Associates for many years. In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by a son, Derrick W. Jackson of Exeter Township and a daughter, Kelsey M. Jackson of West Chester; two brothers, Jim Jackson husband of Doris of Florida and Dave Jackson husband of JoAnn of Maryland; a sister, Gretchen wife of Karl Rummel of Salix as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Penn Medicine-Philadlephia. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 7:00-9:00 pm and Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am all in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Reading, PA 19606.
