Neal M. Jacobs

Neal M. Jacobs, 82, of Exeter Township, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022, in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Judith A. (Livingood) Jacobs, of Exeter, with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage. Born in North Adams, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Max and Mary (Krause) Jacobs. Neal graduated from Drury High School in North Adams, Mass., he then obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Hartwick College. Neal proudly served his country in The United States Marine Corps, and spent 2 years in the Peace Corps in Bocas Del Toro, Panama. He was a member of Reform Congregational Oheb Sholom in Wyomissing, and was the past president of the Jewish Federation, as well as being very involved in the Jewish community. Neal became an entrepreneur at a very young age. At the age of 17 he became the youngest member of the Chamber of Commerce in all of America. He worked in the manufacturing and apparel business for over 40 years. Upon retirement, he supported his family business, Hillcrest Racquet Club and Sport Builders.

In addition to his wife, Neal is survived by his children; Matthew C., husband of Samara, of Exeter, and Marc A., of Exeter. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Mia, Marissa, and Charlie, as well as his brother, Howard, husband of Esta, of Easton, Mass., and his sister Eunice.

A service will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 beginning at 11:00 am in Reform Congregation Oheb Sholom, 555 Warwick Drive Wyomissing, Pennsylvania 19610. Interment will be private.
