Dorothy James

Dorothy I. James, 95, of Reading, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 in the Berks Heim. She was the widow of Donald M. James who passed away January 12, 2004. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late James F. , Jr. and Rose M. (Bodenheim) Nagle. Dorothy was an associate for Bamford Drug Store for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy James Gazonas widow of John "Nick" Gazonas of Harleysville and one nephew. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Howard G. Merkel and her two sisters, Emily Johnson and Alberta Wright. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with services beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Reading, PA 19606. Interment private in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
