On January 13, 2024, Jeanne E. (Eagle) Shaaber of Alsace Township passed away peacefully in Tower Health Reading Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born on November 19, 1934 in Reading to Catherine (Heft) and Clarence Eagle. She graduated from Reading High School class of 1953.
After working several jobs in local retail businesses, she went to work for Capital Blue Cross retiring as the Reading Office Manager after 45 years of service.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert M. Shaaber Jr., and her sister Joan.
She is survived by her sister Jane Souders of Boyertown, along with her niece Jeanne Souders of Chicago and her nephew, Robert Souders of Ephrata.
The family would like to send a special "thank you" to the Tower Health at Home Hospice Organization for their personal and caring involvement throughout the course of this trying process.
