John F. Hartman, 84, of Lower Alsace Township, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024 in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Sandra L. (Lewars) Hartman. Born in Pikeville, he was the son of the late Mary (Hartman) Hess and his step father Charles Hess.
John was a graduate of Oley Valley High School. He was a Tire Builder at Firestone for 17 years and also worked at Pikeville Equipment for many years as well. John was known for his passion of Berks County History. He was an avid car enthusiast, and owned several classic cars. He also loved tractors, flea markets and going to auctions. He enjoyed Italian food and would eat ice cream any time of the day.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by his children; Kim Krotulski (James), Kelly Edwards (Danny) and Keith Hartman (Sharon). He is also survived by his grandchildren; Andrew, Alex, Justin, Joshua and Megan, along with his great grandchildren; Cole, Conner, Teigan, Ben, Mason and Charlotte. John is also survived by his brother Jimmy. He was preceded in death by his brother Charles.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
