John P. Kiedeisch

John P. Kiedeisch, 94, of Lower Alsace, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Joyce (Hafer) Kiedeisch, with whom he celebrated 70 years of marriage. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Louisa (Sauer) Kiedeisch. John proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a Mason at Carpenter Technology for many years until his retirement. John was a member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his children; Jean DeFrees, wife of Dru, Steve Kiedeisch, husband of Wanda, and Daniel Kiedeisch, husband of Deb. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Scott, Amanda, Timothy, and Austin, his great-grandchildren; Aayliah, Gabriella, Reylani, Chloe, and Danielle, and his siblings; Fred J. Kiedeisch and Florence Reitnauer. John was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 am at St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C., 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will follow at Spies-Zion Cemetery, 318 Spies Church Road, Reading, PA 19606. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD, 21741.
