John H. Risheill

John H. Risheill, 91, of Tel Hai Retirement Community, Honey Brook, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024 in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Josephine P. (Piano) Risheill, with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Gordon B. and Sadie (Buck) Risheill. John graduated from Mt. Penn High School, class of 1953. He was a member of St. Johns Hains Church, Wernersville. John was an electrician on the Reading Railroad and Conrail.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his daughter Cynthia McDonald, wife of Gerald. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Kaitlyn McDonald, Erin McDonald, and Alexis Weaver, wife of Jerian, as well as his great-granddaughters Kylea and Lila Weaver. John was preceded in death by his daughter Susan Crow and brother Eddie Risheill.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 1:30 pm until 2:00 pm, with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 pm at StoneCroft Center for Worship and Performing Arts, 4000 Tree Line Drive, Honey Brook, PA 19344. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
