Clarence (Jimmy) L. Johnson, 89, of Exeter Township, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Donna L. (Treat) Johnson, with whom he celebrated 49 years of marriage. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Edna L. (Kline) Johnson. Clarence attended Muhlenberg High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in Korea, during the Korean war. Clarence worked at Ennis Manufacturing, Easco Manufacturing and Barco Manufacturing until his retirement. He was a member of West Wyomissing Chapel. He was active in Boy Scouts and was a member of the Hershey Relay for Life Team, Reading. Clarence’s passions were his grandchildren and his family. He was the kindest husband, father and friend. He was adored by his family, friends and anyone who knew him. He enjoyed watching NASA events and NASCAR races.
In addition to his wife, Clarence is survived by his children; Robert, husband of Joanne, of Temple, Charles, husband of Lisa, of Hamburg, Wayne, husband of Stacey, of West Lawn, and Sherri Berry, wife of Stephen, of Exeter. He is also survived by six grandchildren; Adam, Madison, Christopher, Candace, Katherine, and Faith, as well as his sisters; Esther, and Betty.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in West Wyomissing Chapel 2055 Reading Blvd. West Lawn, Pennsylvania 19609. Interment will be at Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to West Wyomissing Chapel.
