Joseph T. Butto

Joseph T. Butto, 88, of Birdsboro, PA, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024 in the Reading Hospital Medical Center. He was the husband of Madge J. (Murray) Butto, with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Tindaro and Antonina Butto. Joseph graduated from Central Catholic High School and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. He proudly served his country in The United States Army. Joseph worked as a Quality Control Engineer for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed golf and spending time with his family. Joseph had a heart of gold and truly knew what unconditional love really meant.

In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by his children; Joseph N. Butto, husband of Elaine, Theresa M. Zerr, wife of Scott, and Michael P. Butto, husband of Ellie. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Joseph was predeceased by his brothers Henry and Carl.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with A Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 am in Immaculate Conception Church, 905 Chestnut Street, Douglassville, PA 19518. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., is in charge of arrangements.
