Joseph C. Capilo

Joseph C. Capilo, 92, of Pennside, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Reading Hospital Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Patricia Ann (Lellig) Capilo. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late P. Frank and Catherine (Trovato) Capilo. Joseph graduated from Reading High School in 1950, and went on to further his education at Kutztown State College, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in education. He worked as a library sales consultant for many years. Joseph was a member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C.

Joseph is survived by his son Michael Capilo, husband of Karen, of Exton, and his sister Jean Fry. He was preceded in death by his son Joseph Jr. and his sister Mary Pettinato.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am with Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10:30 am at St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C. 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of Joseph's family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
