Carol J. (Anderson) Kaufman, 80, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 where she was a resident of Keystone Villa - Douglassville. She was the widow of Ralph R. "Stony" Kaufman who passed away July 16, 2013. Born in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Vallier "Bud" and Frances (Woolf) Anderson. Carol was a graduate of Alliance High School in Ohio. Carol moved from Alliance to Reading, PA in 1976, where she began a 30-year career in purchasing for Singer Equipment Company, from which she retired in 2006. After retirement, Carol enjoyed working in the garden, doing jigsaw puzzles, playing hearts and traveling with her husband “Stony”. A favorite destination was Alliance, Ohio to catch up with family and friends and attend high school reunions.
Family and grandchildren played an important part of Carol’s life, and she was always there for her family. As an animal lover, Carol loved cats and dogs and it never failed to brighten her day when granddog Nala visited her at Keystone Villa.
Carol is survived by her son Timothy Papley, husband of Erica, and her daughter Lori Pepper, wife of Russell. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Vincent, Eric (Kelly), Anthony (Mara), Kyle (Lindsey), Nicole, along with two great grandchildren Allison and Talena, and her two sisters Barbara and Linda.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Mt. Penn, PA 19606. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter.
