Richard O. Keim, 89, formerly of Reiffton, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, in the Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the husband of Kathryn A. (Albright) Keim, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. Born in Pottstown, PA, he was the son of the late Harold B. and Ada M. (Boyer) Keim. Richard was a 1947 graduate of Pottstown High School and earned his Bachelor's degree from Muhlenberg College in 1957 graduating Cum Laude. Richard worked as a Superintendent with Gulf Oil Corp. for 8 years and then went on to work for Metropolitan Edison Co. for 25 years, where he retired as V.P. of Human Resources. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church at the Lutheran Home at Topton and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in Korean Conflict as a Navy Carrier Pilot. He enjoyed reading, traveling and woodworking. Richard was an accomplished man however his greatest accomplishment was his family who meant the world to him. In addition to his wife, Kathryn, Richard is survived by his daughter, Lorrie K. (Keim) Willie wife of Brian of Bloomsburg; and three granddaughters, Jordan W. (Willie) Hiravi wife of Tom of Danville, Megan E. and Lauren R. Willie, of Bloomsburg. He is predeceased by his sisters, Eunice R. (Keim) Feight and Barbara (Keim) Cover, and brothers H. Bernard Keim and Othneil A. Keim. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with services beginning at 12:00 pm in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church at the Lutheran Home, Topton, 1 S. Home Ave, Topton, PA 19562. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Topton, PA.
