Anna L Kendig (Gernert)

Anna L. Kendig, 95, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, in Masonic Village at Elizabethtown. She was the wife of the late David H. Kendig, with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Herbert S. and A. Elizabeth (Brown) Gernert. Anna graduated from Reading High School 1944. Anna worked in the office of Knitting Mills at Knolde & Horst & Guenther Hoisery Co. She then went on to work in the office of Reading School District Superintendent Ralph C. Geigle for 20 years until her retirement. Anna's love of reading and education was passed down to her family, which will be carried on for generations to come.

Anna is survived by her children; Elise A., wife of Dennis Renninger, of Leesport, and Mark G. Kendig, husband of Donna, of Laureldale. She is also survived by her granddaughters; Nancy, and Connie, as well as great-grandchildren; Vanessa and Evan. Anna was predeceased by her son, James, brothers, Carl, Earl, and Herbert, and sisters, Mary, and Janet.
