Margaret Kern

Margaret K. Kern, 89, of Mohnton, passed away, Monday, April 23, 2018 in her home. She was the wife of Leon W. "Hap" Kern with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. Born in Mohnton on her family farm on Blimline Road, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Stella (Faust) Blimline. Margaret worked at Bollman's Hat Company for many years until her retirement. Her husband, children and grandchildren were the most important part of her life. Margaret is survived by one son Ronald L. husband of Valerie L. of Brecknock Township and one daughter Beverley A. Treat wife of Robert W. of Oley; seven grandchildren, Natalie, Olivia, Benjamin, Amber, Jared, Lori, Larry Jr.; and six great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son Larry L. Kern. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 1:30 pm -2:00 pm with services beginning at 2:00 pm in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 80 E Main St., Adamstown, PA 19501.
