Gustave R. Kihlstrom

Gustave R. Kihlstrom Jr., 90, of Reading, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022, in Berkshire Commons. He was the husband of Betty Ann (Garner) Kihlstrom, with whom he celebrated 53 years of marriage. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Gustave and Anna (Nilson) Kihlstrom. Gus graduated from South Lancaster Academy in Massachusetts. He proudly served his country in The United States Army as a Corporal. Gus was a salesman his whole life, from his first paper route as a young boy, and started his own company in 1976. He loved traveling, cars and boats, and being in nature. He learned to sail, and was very proud of his Swedish background. He played piano and loved to listen to classical music. He was a man of faith who was incredibly devoted to his family, and they adored him.

In addition to his wife, Gus is survived by his children, Greg Kihlstrom, husband of Lindsey, and Janelle Kihlstrom-Pomery, wife of Derek. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Anya and Auguste Pomery, as well as his sister Elinor Wells. Gus was predeceased by his siblings, Ina and John.
