Henry G. Kirn, 72 , of West Reading, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, December 4, 2017, at Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Louis and Anna (Carroll) Kirn. Henry graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1963 and Ursinus College in 1981 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He proudly served in the Army Reserves. He was also a member of Sacred Heart Church in West Reading. Henry worked at Dana Corporation for 35 years, including roles as Labor Relations Director and Human Resources Manager. He is survived by his wife Linda (Hughes) Kirn; son Henry G. Kirn, Jr. (husband of Anne Mascarenhas), daughter Bridget Kirn (wife of Martin Howley, Jr.); and grandson Liam Henry Howley. He is also survived by siblings Maureen (widow of Thomas McIntyre), Louis M. Jr. (husband of Janice), and Kathleen (wife of Daryl Sweigert); as well as many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed getting together with family and friends and serving on the Central Catholic Class of 1963 Reunion Committee. He was a published author, entrepreneur, and inventor. He also enjoyed travel and watching the Philadelphia Eagles. Most of all, he loved to laugh, joke, and light up the room with his smile. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Lutz Funeral Home, 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at 10:00 am in the Gethsemane Cemetery - Chapel of Resurrection, 3139 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.
