Ruth F. Kitzmiller (Freeman)

Ruth F. (Freeman) Kitzmiller, 104, of Wyomissing passed away December 30th, 2013 in The Highlands at Wyomissing. She was the wife of J. Richard Kitzmiller who passed away 10/3/1990. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was a daughter of the late Henry H. and Margaret M (Mackinson) Freeman. Ruth was a very faithful member of Holy Cross United Methodist Church, Reading. She was also a former staff member at the Jewish Community Center and the Wyomissing Institute of Fine Arts. Ruth also was Past President of the Wyomissing School Board and past Chairwoman of the Advisory Board for Penn State University Berks Campus. Ruth was the Director of Physical Education at the YWCA and the Blue Mountain Camp. Later she was a dance instructor and square dance caller throughout Berks County for many years retiring in 1981. She is survived by two sons Jere R. Kitzmiller, of Ne wport Coast, CA and John M. Kitzmiller of Houston TX, and one daughter Judy C. wife of Chris Shenk of Amherst, NH. Ruth is also survived by eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Services will be held on Tuesday January 7th at 11:00am at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave, Mt.
