John N. Klein

John N. Klein, 80 of Reading passed away November 15th, 2013 in St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the widower of Betty J. (Knepper) Klein who passed in 2006 Born in Reading he was a son of the late Norbet H. and Grace D. (Smith) Klein . John was a 1951 Graduate of Mt. Penn High School and served in the United States Army from 1954-1957. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and also served as a Chaplin for 12 years and Post Adjunct Chaplain for 20 years in the VFW #411 Birdsb oro. John worked as a Floorman in the woodshop of Rockland Furniture and as a floorman for Clayton Weber Construction. He also worked for Wilson Sprinkler Company, which later became Fisher Sprinkler, as a designer and engineer retiring in 1996. John is survived by three stepsons; Kevin, of Mt. Penn, Darren, of Mohrsville and Keith, of Philadelphia; one stepdaughter; Sharon David, of Lehighton, and seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. John was predeceased by one brother, Robert Klein and one sister, Loretta Mervine. Services will be held at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc.2100 Perkiomen Ave, Mt. Penn on Friday November 22nd, 2013 at 1:30 pm. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
