Rudolph Franz Klocker, 70, of Reading, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014. Born in Reading, he was a son of Gregory and Maria (Eggstein) Klocker. He was a graduate of Exeter High School in 1961 and Penn State University in 1965. Rudolph was self-employed in the bar and restaurant industry for 50 years. In the late 60’s and 70’s he was an enforcement officer II for the PA Liquor Control Board. In the 80’s till the present, he pursued an entrepreneurship of many projects; most notably The Mad Hatter and The Cotton Ginn. In his retirement, he was an independent contract courier. He also fostered senior dogs through the Grey Muzzle Program of the Animal Rescue League. Survivors include his sister Rosemarie Klocker DeWald wife of Samuel C. DeWald of Exeter Township and Three Nieces: Gina wife of Tim Gee of Parkton, MD, Cynthia DeWald of Fleetwood and Tracy wife of Adrian Hernandez of Durham, NC. Friends may call from 7:00-9:00 P.M. on Wednesday Evening and funeral services will be held Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. Mount Penn.
