George C. Koch Sr.

George C. Koch Sr., 77, of Alsace Township, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021, in his home. He was the husband of the late Nancy J. (Martin) Koch, who passed away March 13, 2013. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late John P. and Evelyn (Kulp) Koch. George graduated from Reading High School in 1962. He attended Plumbing School to become a Journeyman Plumber, and was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church. George worked as a plumber for 59 years until his retirement.

George is survived by sons; George C. Koch, Jr. husband of Catherine of Centerport, Thomas C. Koch of Alsace Twp., and Patrick M. Koch husband of Suzanne of Oley; daughter Debra A. wife of Joseph F. Neidert, Jr. of Alsace Twp; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters Judy, Ginny, Joyce, Gwen, Susie and one brother John.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm with services beginning at 6:00 pm in Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1375 Friedensburg Rd., Reading, Pa 19606.
