Elizabeth Levan

Elizabeth R. LeVan, 89, formerly of Reading, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018, in her home in Bluffton, SC. She was the wife of Llewellyn Roger "Lew" LeVan, who passed away on January 29, 2011. Born in West Reading, PA , she was the daughter of the late Harold and Ruth (Keim) Koch. Elizabeth attended Kutztown University and earned her degree in education. She worked as a teacher and was instrumental in starting the first garden club in Bloomfield, NY. She was an artist and enjoyed crafting. Elizabeth is survived by three daughters: Judith A. Leffler, of Hardeeville, SC, Linda L. wife of Larry Reynolds of Bloomfield, NY, Melody S. wife of Harry Inman of Bluffton, SC; five grandchildren: Stacey wife of Trevor Garbett, Brenda wife of Kevin Wyand, Shari wife of Chad Controneo, Janine wife of Tom DeBlaere, Roger Leffler (Davina), Scott Leffler and many great grandchildren. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Reading. Interment will be at Schwarzwald Cemetery, Jacksonwald. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Lowcountry, 7 Plantation Park Dr., Bluffton, SC 29910.
