Jeffrey L. Levan

Jeffrey L. Levan, 61, Amity Township, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 in ManorCare Health Services-Laureldale. He was the husband of Susan G. (Gabriel) Levan. Born in Reading, he was the son of Shirley (Herb) Levan of Bern Township and the late Leonard Levan. Jeffrey was a graduate of Exeter High School in 1974 and was a member of Moose Lodge #826 in Galeton, PA, Brookland Club in Ulysses, PA, Stony Creek A.A., Stonersville Fire Company where he had served as past president as well as member of other fire companies and athletic clubs. He was employed by Exide Corporation in various roles for 18 years until his retirement. In addition to his wife and mother, Jeffrey is survived by one son, Jeffrey N. of Amity Township and two sisters, Deb and Sharon. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Craig. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Reading, PA 19606. Interment private.
