Richard David Levin

Richard D. Levin, 66, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in St. Joseph Medical Center. He was born in Harrisburg, the son of the late Samuel M. and Katherine (Safnauer) Levin. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy (Bellman) Levin and a daughter, Jennifer Anne Levin who lives in Hermosa Beach, CA. He is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law Sandra L. Ulrich, Randall R. Ulrich of Leesport and a nephew Gene R. Ulrich of Sinking Spring and his only surviving cousin Phil Abel. A sister, Corinne Cranford, of Colonial Park passed away in 2012. Richard graduated from William Penn High School in 1966 and the University of Central Missouri in 1974 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration. Prior to his education, Richard enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserves and retired from there in 1996. Richard spent 30 years as a Pennsylvania Probation and Parole Agent retiring in 2006 and went on to become the Manager of Operations at ADDAPT Inc. in Reading, retiring from there in 2012. Richard loved to travel, fly fish and cross country skiing. He was a member of the Flying Dutchman Ski Club in Reading. All arrangements and services are private at the convenience of the family.
