Amanda H. Linton, 87, of Shillington passed away Tuesday, September 24th, 2013 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the widow of Herbert M. Linton who passed away January 8, 1986. Born in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Florence (Tuttle) Dawson. Mrs. Linton was a graduate of John Harris High School in Harrisburg. She was an active supporter of American Defenders of Bataan and Corregidor PI, Disabled American Veterans, Fleet Reserve Association, Marines Toys for Tots, Paralyzed Veterans of America, U.S. Navy Memorial–Washington D.C., United Service Organization, Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, Wounded Warrior Project, Billy Graham-Outreach, March of Dimes, American Lung Society, American Cancer Society, American Red Cross and the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Lintons hobbies included quilting, volunteering and historic travel to East Asia, Eu rope, Britain, South America, Canada and all states of the USA. Mrs. Linton is survived by: One Son Milton H. husband of Debra Linton of Pennside and One Daughter Linda wife of Ronald C. Noll of Shillington; Six Grandchildren and many Great-Grandchildren. There are also Nieces and Nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother Robert and her sister Mildred. Funeral Services will be held in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mt. Penn on Saturday, September 28 at 11:00 am. Friends may call from 10:00 am to11:00 am. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
