Kathleen L. Lucas (Weisser)

Kathleen L. (Weisser) Lucas, 77, of Alsace Township, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023, in Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Joseph G. Lucas, with whom she celebrated 60 years of marriage. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Richard W. Sr. and Betty (Thompson) Weisser. Kathleen graduated from Reading High School in 1963. She worked at Baldwin Hardware for many years until her retirement. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who will be greatly missed by all.

In addition to her husband, Kathleen is survived by her daughter Tammy Lantz, wife of Fred, of Wernersville. and her son Jamie L. Lucas, of Alsace Township. She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as well as her brother's Richard W. Weisser Jr., husband of Eileen, and Bradley Weisser, husband of Laura. Kathleen was predeceased by her son Joseph Jr.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
