Luther "Del" Long Jr.

Luther Delbert "Del" Long Jr., 79, of St. Lawrence, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 in Reading Hospital Medical Center. He was the husband of Donna (Rotruck) Long, with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage. Born in Lebanon, PA, he was the son of the late Luther Delbert Long Sr., and Elizabeth (Meck) Knutson. Del graduated from Cornwall High School. He proudly served his country in The United States Air Force and was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 0131. Del loved cars, it was his true passion. He enjoyed road trips, traveling to their home in Florida, cruises, and being a part of many car clubs throughout the years.

In addition to his wife, Del is survived by his children; Tracy Powell, wife of Glen, and Steve Long, husband of Patty. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Ashley Long, Justin Long, Taylor Powell, and Connor Powell, as well as his great-grandson Caleb Long and his sister Kristy Jo Knutson.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 with services beginning at 11:00 in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606.
