Dennis D. "Louie" Maclean

Dennis D. MacLean "Louie", 77, of Mt. Penn, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023, in his home. He was the husband of Carolyn (Meledy) MacLean. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late J. Vern and Wanda (Tomczyk) MacLean. He was a graduate of Reading High School, class of 1963 and went on to work as an electrician for the I.B.E.W. Local 743. Louie was a member of the Reading Buccaneers, and also their Alumni Association. Dennis had many hobbies and led a full life. He was a member of RORR, raced BMX with his children, RC cars, fishing, and camping at the beach to name a few.

In addition to his wife, Dennis is survived by his daughter Melissa MacLean, wife of Daryl Dietrich, of Lower Alsace; his son Sean MacLean, husband of Autumn, of Sinking Spring; his step-daughter Rebecca Lazensky, FL; his grandchildren Maegyn and Shayne; and his brother George MacLean, husband of Bonnie, DE.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am with services beginning at 11:30 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of Dennis's family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The ALS Association, PO Box 37022 Boone, IA 50037.
