Gladys R. Madeira

Gladys R. Madeira, 90, a resident of the Keystone Villa- Douglassville and formerly of Mount Penn passed away on Monday, September 3. She was the widow of Lester W. Madeira who passed away May 1, 1985. Her first husband Russell R. Rhoads passed away April 1, 1962. Born in Amityville, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Esther (Koch) Hartline. Gladys was the manager of the Domestics Department at Boscov’s East for over 20 years until her retirement. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Mount Penn and was also a member of the West Lawn Senior Trust. Gladys is survived by two sons: Terry Rhoads (wife Ellen) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Spencer Rhoads (wife JoAnn) of Syracuse, New York; Three Grandchildren: Amanda Rhoads, Austin Rhoads and Christopher Rhoads; Two Step-Daughters: Joyce Goeltz (husband Grant) of Wyomissing and Na ncy Helbig of Reading. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Russell and Lee Hartline. Funeral Services will be held in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mt.
