Marian B. Osiecki

Marian B. (Yoder) Osiecki, 91, of Shillington, PA, passed away at home on August 14th, 2024, surrounded by her family. Marian was wife of 56 years to William "Bill" J. Osiecki, who passed June 1st, 2012. Born May 3rd, 1933 in Ringtown, PA, to Bertha (Weikel) Yoder and Edward Yoder, Marian was a proud graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1951. Bill and Marian co-owned the Shillington Seafood Company from 1971 to 1979, and she later worked at Alcon Laboratories in Sinking Springs, PA, retiring in 1998.

To know Marian was to love her-and everyone knew Marian. Ever the life of the party, she was an avid dancer (as guests of her 90th birthday celebration will long remember) and prolific card player whose winning streak at Hand-and-Foot remains unmatched. Marian solved every daily jumble, read all the books she could, and devised endless hours of fun for her family, friends, and neighbors. Hers was a life truly well-lived.

Marian is survived by three daughters (Sharon, wife of James Bova; Donna, wife of Gerald Stick; and Lori, wife of Jarek Opechowski), six grandchildren (Jami Stick Bauer, wife of Donald Bauer; Christopher Bova, husband of Beverlee Mitchell; Matthew Bova, husband of Meagan Woodard Bova; Jeremy Bova; Alex Marian Opechowski; and Max William Opechowski); two great-granddaughters (Dana Bauer and Haley Bauer); and one great-great-granddaughter, Azrielle Wallace.

Marian was preceded in death by her sister, Helen (Yoder) Neiman and brother-in-law, Leon Neiman; brother Burton Yoder and sister-in-law Emily (McMichel) Yoder; and brother Benjamin Yoder and sister-in-law Blanche (Moser) Yoder.
