Edward P. Mautz, 62, of Stony Creek, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 in Penn State Health-St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of Jeanne M. (Ehrgood) Mautz. Born in Syracuse, NY, he was a son of the late Eugene F., Sr. and Mildred R. (Folsom) Mautz. Ed was a jack of all trades and a master of all. He was a member of Chandler Lodge No. 227 F&AM, Stony Creek AA and Lower Alsace Fire Company Association. Anyone that knew Ed considered him a friend. He was employed as a steamfitter for Union Local #420 for many years until his retirement. He also completed may different trainings and certifications for OSHA, Haz-Mat and Mercury Marine. In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by: Two Sisters: Diana M. wife of Wayne Cochran of Tampa, FL and Donna K. wife of Richard Hinkle of Mohrsville; One Brother: Maximillion G. Mautz of Oklahoma City, OK and many nieces and nephews who looked up to him as a father. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Eugene F. Mautz, Jr. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 Noon with services beginning at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 30, 2016 in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mt. Penn. Masonic Service from Chandler Lodge #227 will be held at 11:30 A.M. Interment private at the convenience of the family.
