Samuel H. McDonough Sr., 75, of 522 Main St, Blandon, Pa, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 in Manor Care Center, Sinking Spring. He was the beloved husband of Michelle (Violetti) McDonough for 35 years. He was born in Reading, Pa, the son of the late Walter L. McDonough and Minerva H. (Schadler) Henry, and step son of the late Richard L. Henry Sr. Samuel attended Fleetwood Area High School and was previously employed by Caloric, Topton, Pa.
Samuel enjoyed all forms of art, nature, gardening, and had a love of classic cars. He was a self taught and accomplished wildlife artist and a lover of all birds, plants, and flowers. He supported the Audobon Society, enjoyed classic car shows, and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Samuel is survived by his wife Michelle, 2 brothers, Richard L Henry Jr.,husband of Sandra Weidner, Wyomissing, Eddie Showalter, Shillington and a sister Linda A. Tamn, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased by a brother, Jack L. Henry.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday October 29, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, 2100 Perkiomen Ave, Reading.
