Russell Robert Mervine, 91, of West Lawn, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021. He was the loving husband of Louise Alice (Yoder) Mervine, who passed away August of 2020. They were married on October 16, 1954 and celebrated 65 years of marriage. Born in Reading on November 28, 1929, he was the son of the late Russell I. and Jennie C. (Matetich) Mervine. Russell attended Reading School District. Russell was a carpenter, working for Welfleys Homes. Dad proudly served his country over sea's during the Korean War.
Russell is survived by his son Kip R. Mervine, husband of Annette Marie. He was predeceased by his loving son Broc Hope Mervine. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Brandon Mervine, Lisa Todd, and Paul Seivard. As well as eight great-grandchildren; Harrison, Kali, Cassidy, Michael, Payton, Jazmine, Dalton, and Brendon, and four great-great-grandchildren; Carter, Bryce, Logan, and Luca.
A husband, father, builder, and fixer, he had his many loves of life. His grandchildren, hunting with his sons, watching football, listening to a baseball game, his dogs and cats, his pigeons, on a grand scale, and of course a cold one. He will always be my best friend, my teacher, and my dad.
