Janice Eileen Hill Miller, 75, of Exeter, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 4, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted and loving wife of James Miller, with whom she celebrated 56 years of marriage. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late James and A. Virginia (Garverich) Hill, and graduated from Mt. Penn High School in 1963. In addition to her husband James, Janice is survived by her son Michael husband of Emily, Exeter, and daughter Heather wife of Neil Massey, Richmond, Va. She has five grandchildren; Michael, Sean, Christopher, Lauren, and Luke.
Janice loved to volunteer her time at church; especially on the hospitality committee. She also was a long time member of The Exeter Women's Club, serving as president for 4 years, and on the house tour committee. She loved to cook and bake, always making enough to feed a crowd. Her famous almond cake became the "go to" for all celebrations. Janice loved to be out in the sun weeding flower beds, picking raspberries to make the best jelly, and husking and scraping corn to freeze for all those special holidays.
