Paul Kistler Miller Had his final curtain call, on January 8, 2017. He had been a resident at the Berks Heim since 2012. Paul was born on November 10, 1919 in Reading Pa. He was the son of Ulysses Wagner Miller, and Mary Louisa Kistler Miller. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ulysses, and Donald. He was a graduate of Mt. Penn High School, class of 1937. In 1942 he married Jane Louise Simmon, deceased. He served his county in the 77th Signal Corp in WWII. Paul was member of St. Paul’s UCC church, Fleetwood, Pa.
His employment included Bechtel Lutz and Jost, Reading, and Masback Hardware Company, NY. After retirement, he worked part time until age 80 for Leinbach’s Hardware store, Mt. Penn. Pa.
Paul loved the theater and was a natural comedian, appearing in many productions. He and his wife Jane were first active in productions at the Wyomissing Institute. He moved on to become very active with Reading Community Players, serving as a board member, actor, lighting designer, and set construction builder. He was a founding member of Genesius Theater in Reading. Paul was a board member, actor, lighting and music designer, and band member. Paul was always proud of his 1940’s dance band, the Stardust Revelers.
He is survived by two wives, his former wife Sharon Scheidt of Reading Pa., and Elaine( Erb) Miller, of Shillington, Pa. Paul has two children Alex, Fleetwood, Pa, and Karen (Miller) Sterner, of North Port Fla. Two grand children, Ingrid Fiege of Red Hook, N.Y. and Morgan Sterner McKinney Texas. There are four great grandchildren. There are two stepdaughters Deborah (Erb) Kranis, Reading Pa. and Jordan (Erb) Alexander, Sinking Springs, Pa. Three step grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren.
