Miriam M. Swavely

Miriam M. (Reigner) Swavely, 101, of St. Lawrence, PA, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024 in her home with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Elmer E. Swavely. Born in Muhlenberg Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Theodore D. and Mae. S (Wentzel) Reigner. Miriam was a member of Schwarzwald U.C.C.

Miriam is survived by her children; Steve S. Swavely, husband of Ann, and Bart K. Swavely. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Bradley (Michelle), Brian (Kim), Jennifer (Rob), and Marla (Glenn), her great-grandchildren; Heather (Evan), Allison, Ashley, Jack, Kevin, Sarah, Stephen, Weston, and Elle, and her sister Helen "Tootie" Rambo (Jim). Miriam was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Cregar and her husband Ken, her granddaughter Brandi, and her brothers Elwood and Theodore.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with services beginning at 12:00 pm in Lutz Funeral Home Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606.
