Elaine Monahan

Elaine M. Monahan, 82, of Wyomissing, PA, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center . She was the widow of James J. Monahan who passed away in August 1995. Born in Long Island, NY, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mildred (Buck) Shannon. Elaine is survived by: Two Daughters: Maureen A. wife of David C. Tice with whom she resided and MaryEllen Monahan of Reading; One Step-Son: Mark Monahan of Fort Bragg, CA; Two Grandsons: David C. Tice, Jr. and James E. Tice and One Sister: Carol wife of Howard Hawthorn of North Carolina. She was pre-deceased by four sisters: Audrey Johnson, Joan Wanamaker, Patricia Hake, and Roberta Muller. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 9:00-10:30 am in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mt. Penn with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 am in St. Margaret's R.C.C., 925 Centre Ave., Reading, PA 19601. Interment private at the convenience of the family.
